At The Brigadier’s Cottage, dining is an experience to savour, combining fresh, flavourful food with the warmth of family hospitality and the enchanting beauty of the mountains. Whether you begin your day with breakfast on the terrace, enjoy a leisurely meal in our dining room, or spend an evening dining beneath the stars, every meal is an opportunity to slow down and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.

A Generous Mountain Breakfast
Mornings begin with an elaborate breakfast featuring fresh fruits, cereals, assorted yogurts, cheeses, hot and cold milk, juices, tea, coffee, savoury Indian favourites, stuffed and plain parathas, eggs prepared to order, a Continental selection, and something sweet to finish. During the cooler months, breakfast on our expansive terrace is particularly special, with crisp mountain air and beautiful views. When the weather is less favourable, guests can enjoy breakfast in the comfort of our dining room.

Fresh Food, Prepared with Care
Our menus bring together Indian, Continental, and Chinese cuisine, with a choice of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Jain, vegan, and low-calorie meals can also be arranged on request. We believe in serving fresh, wholesome food, following a farm-to-plate philosophy wherever possible. Seasonal vegetables and fruits are grown at the cottage or sourced from the surrounding region, while homemade honey and jams add a personal touch to the dining experience.

Terrace Dinners, Barbecues and Bonfires
As evening settles over the hills, our spacious terrace becomes a wonderful setting for dinner, barbecue gatherings, and bonfires beneath the mountain sky. Good food, glowing firelight, the sounds of nature, and the company of loved ones create the kind of unhurried evenings that make a stay at The Brigadier’s Cottage truly memorable.

Dining Spaces and Lunch Arrangements
Guests have access to our welcoming dining room and expansive terrace, allowing them to enjoy their meals in a setting that suits the season and the occasion. Lunch is not part of our standard dining service, but can be arranged through our caretaker with at least 12 hours’ advance notice. This allows us time to procure fresh ingredients and prepare your meal with the care and attention it deserves.
