The Brigadiers Cottage is a luxurious cottage near Kempty Falls in Mussoorie that is situated amidst beautiful mountains, river valleys and unblemished nature. It is located in close proximity to many tourist attractions and travel hubs, making it convenient for our guests to explore this mesmerising hill station. Our homestay offers a total of 7 snug rooms that are decked with a host of contemporary amenities and favourable facilities, ensuring a memorable stay. Alternatively, you can take your meals to the terrace, where you can enjoy your meal while soaking in the gorgeous views!

Organic Lifestyle at The Brigadiers Cottage

Besides running The Brigadiers Cottage successfully, we implemented the following to add value to our homestay in Mussoorie:

Dairy	We have set up a small dairy at the cottage that aims at promoting a local Indian Himalayan breed of cow - the Badri Cow.
Poultry	We only use the free range Pahadi chicken, geese and turkeys. These birds are only used for their eggs and fertilising the soil.
Apiary	We have ventured into beekeeping and only promote the Indian Himalayan bees, famous for some of the best honey in the world.
Permaculture	We have established a Permanent Food Forest - Permaculture, for organic food. This way, none of the animals are hurt and we help in the growth of agricultural ecosystems in a sustainable way.
Saponification	We have set up a small domestic unit for making Goat milk soaps that are organic, chemical-free and healthy for humans.
Incense	We have established a small unit where we make incense sticks with cow dung. This helps us in promoting an organic lifestyle and reduced usage of chemicals and plastics at the cottage.
Oil Extraction	At The Brigadiers Cottage, we use groundnuts, almonds, walnuts and mustard seeds to extract oil.

How to Reach

The Brigadiers Cottage is strategically located near Kempty Falls. The nearest airport to our cottage is Jolly Grant Airport, while the closest railway hub is Dehradun Railway Station. We are at a comfortable drive of approximately 5 minutes from the J.W. Marriott and Mussoorie International School. Guests can reach our homestay via New Mussoorie Road and enjoy scenic views of the mountains and greenery along the way!

By Air

The nearest airport to our homestay in Mussoorie is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. It is approximately 65 km away from The Brigadiers Cottage. From the airport, you can follow the state highway, popularly known as the New Mussoorie Road and reach Kempty!

By Train

There are multiple trains from Delhi to Dehradun, including Shatabdi Express and Jan Shatabdi Express. The Nizamuddin AC Special and Mussoorie Express are overnight trains and take approximately 5.5 hours to reach Mussoorie. From the station, you can follow the state highway, popularly known as the New Mussoorie Road and reach Kempty!

By Road

A drive to Mussoorie, no matter where you take it from, is the perfect way to enjoy the beauty of this hill station. From Delhi, you can take the NH58 till Roorkee and NH72-A till Dehradun. After that, you can follow the state highway, popularly known as the New Mussoorie Road and reach Kempty!
